I have a nrf51822 application which is communicating with iOS (iphone) via BLE HID service. It's only purpose is to send a screen lock HID code to iPhone. The bad side effect is that iOS also eliminates the iPhone’s soft keyboard, meaning no

RE: nrf51822 USB HID service for iOS

Are you aware of any BLE enabled devices that can do what you describe?

There is of course the possibility to use two links here, e.g. it will appear as two devices, where one link only intermittently connect.

Thanks for reply, what you suggested will not work for me, because I have another custom service in addition to HID service. My custom service is in charge of communication with iOS app to receive different commands. if I disconnect my hardware can not communicate to iOS apps anymore.

RE: nrf51822 USB HID service for iOS

Hi,

Have you considered that each time you want to screen lock you start advertisement, connect, send notification, and disconnect? This should go very quick.

It is possible to disable HID service, but it may seem as iOS want a HID service to be able to send consumer control button press.
