I agree with awneil. Thank you for the continued help. Also, you can use the CMSIS configuration wizard like described here in SES to more easily change settings in sdk_config.h

Actually, that's not quite right.

NRF_LOG_* output can be configured to go to either RTT or the UART.

In sdk_config.h use either NRF_LOG_BACKEND_RTT_ENABLED or NRF_LOG_BACKEND_UART_ENABLED

Note that NRF_LOG_* output goes to RTT - not to a serial terminal.

You need to use the RTT viewer to see the output.
