Softdevice is only required for BLE examples, Thread-only examples use the linked OpenThread library.

Okay, thanks ... I figured it was something I was doing wrong. I’m guessing the other examples I tried didn’t need softdevice? I’ll look into the softdevice and give that a try.

Hi,

The examples should work, I just tested two of them. Note that the softdevice is not merged into the precompiled hex files, you can find the softdevice in nRF5_SDK_for_Thread_and_Zigbee_2.0.0_29775ac\components\softdevice\s140\hex\s140_nrf52_6.1.0_softdevice.hex. The softdevice needs to be flashed together with the application for it to run, this is done automatically in Segger Embedded Studio, or you can do it manually using nrfjprog or nRF Connect programmer app.
