This post is a few years old 😅 but I am in a very similar boat as OP and the published example is no longer available on devzone so if there's a more recent example to look over as a resource? And I'm assuming RESTful API is referring to the nRF Cloud REST API?

We have a RESTful API which enables you to retrieve the data your devices send to nRF Connect for Cloud.
