&lt;p&gt;On the BMD-350 (nRF52832) there are no issues with first erasing everything. &lt;p&gt;Yes - if you get it wrong, you could erase or over-write the SoftDevice.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Check your settings carefully - do not do a &amp;quot;full chip erase&amp;quot; when programming the app after the softdevice has been loaded!&lt;/p&gt;
