I just bought an nrf51822 evaluation kit and a segger J-link BASE Jtag. I understand that I have to play with the SW4 swith and the U4.
I identified the switch SW4 but not the U4. In other word, even if it is probably quite basic, I don't

RE: Connection for NRF51822 J-Link base

- yes, it is possible to use printf using RTT log.
Thanks for the answer,

Please have a look to this link and picture to see the board I bought.
www.nordicsemi.com/.../nRF51822-Evaluation-Kit.

I haven't seen that, there is already a ship allowing me to debug my program. Is it the same thing than the J-Link Base?

I am a little bit lost, so what is the use of SW4 and U4 described in this document : https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/question/21400/nrf51822-and-j-link-base-connections/

Furthermore if the USB plug is used to debug (via the ship you told to me), Am I still able to send log debug (such as printf ) at the same time ? Isn't there any synchronisation issue ?

Thanks,

RE: Connection for NRF51822 J-Link base

Just to make sure, you have a nRF51822-EK and you want to program this with a J-Link Base? Why don't you want to use the Segger J-link lite chip that is already on the nRF51822-EK? You don't need the external J-link base to program the nRF51822-EK. Could you upload a picture of what you have and why you want to use the J-link base to program the nRF51822-EK?
