Hi Jorgen

holding SW1 when inserting the dongle caused a Windows Explorer window to open and stay open. I was then able to reflash the firmware. On removing and reinserting the dongle, the J-Link window opened and closed three times but then stayed open. So basically, it's working now but I'm not sure whether the reflash made any difference.... maybe as you were thinking, it's actually a problem with it not fitting properly (although it does seem OK) or something like that.

Hopefully this is solved but we shall see.

Hi Jorgen

I've tried it with the usb port to two different computers and plugged into a USB hub. Same result.

I'm pretty sure I've used it ok in the past....unless I actually have two dongles (possible) and this is not the one I used last time.

I'll hunt through my cabinet and see I have another. I'll also have a go at reflashing .

Hi,

I have not seen this behavior before, but it looks like the dongle is connecting and disconnecting from the PC. Does it fit tightly in the USB port? Has it worked with the same computer before? You could also try reflashing the firmware on the J-Link OB debugger, by holding down SW1 on the dongle while plugging it in, and drag the firmware (J-Link OB-SAM3U128-V2-NordicSemi 170724.bin) to the BOOTLOADER removable device (if this enumerates correctly).
