Following your recommandations I finally found the following video from nordic which are really helpfull starting up:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLx_tBuQ_KSqGHmzdEL2GWEOeix-S5rgTV

I discovered then that I was missing JLINK it seems :

https://www.segger.com/downloads/jlink/#J-LinkSoftwareAndDocumentationPack

And that I did not follow the starting tutorial to connect the card:

https://www.nordicsemi.com/Software-and-Tools/Development-Kits/nRF52840-DK/GetStarted

By the way I needed to switch the nRF power source to VDD in order to have the card working.

So for now I was able to compile and transfer the example of the video (I don't know what it does yet but I will follow on the videos which seem to have a lot of usefull content)

So far so good and I hope that my reply will help future noob like me to start.

Regards,

Please see our guide on how to import external files. You should not need to use makefiles if you use Segger Embedded Studio. Also, if you're going to use gcc and makefiles then you would have to add the toolchain path to the SDK. See this guide for more information regarding developing with GCC.

Best regards

If possible try putting the SDKs in root.
