As long as you don't plan to store the firmware update in the "MTP", then I don't see any reason why that must be added in the bootloader no.

On another topic, I want a program that will support my MTP (storage device),
do I need to add something to the bootloader or all references are only in the application.

Hi,

We recommend using the latest softdevice release (v6.1.1) due to bug fixes in general (see release notes for details for the softdevice). If you want to know why v6.0.0 is failing in this specific case, then I suggest to create two on air sniffer logs so we may take a look and compre.
