Nam Pham, how do you know that Android does not support write long yet? Does it support this in Lollipop?

thank Hung. your way is working fine on S3 (android 4.2) with SamSung BLE sdk. but on Nexus 4 (android 4.3), I sometimes get issues. on LogCat, I see data which is wrote successfully but my BLE accessories don't receive anything. Please give me your advise.

@Nam Pham: Andriod doesn't support write long yet, so you would need to fragment your data into 20-byte trunk or split your characteristic to 3 characteristics.

We have a couple of sample applications for Android available, so I'd recommend you to take a look at one of them: http://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/nRFready-Demo-APPS

You get access by making an account there and entering a product key from a kit.

hi, @Ole Morten I am also working on BLE using Android 4.3 api, i have used sample BLE app it is only reading charactaristics in DeviceScanActivity.activity but i want to write charactaristics by using button send so how can i use you above code to do this.. Basical i don't know the step by step procedure to write characteristics. Please help

I have already solved the problem. The example I was using did not have the write permissions on both the app side and the Nordic side. Sorry for a late reply. Could you give some more information on:

Do you have the same problem with the nRF Uart app ?
Which master device have you used to test ?
What error code you have when writing is not successful? Did you have the characteristic null ?
