Could you upload the J-Link commander and nRFConnect log files from the working DK as well? I'd like to compare them.

DK is erased. Custom board is not erased on trying to erase by connecting to DK. Custom board continues to run previous application.
No solder bridges have been changed. DK is as given during shipping. All components are present in both the DK.

Ok, the search continues...

Could you try to do a flash erase of both the module and the DK? Either by nRFConnect or the --eraseall command if you're using nrfjprog.

Have you cut any solder bridges on the faulty DK earlier, to measure current draw etc.? If not, and if the flash erase doesn't help, you should check if any components are missing from the faulty DK.

I have tried with the nRFConnect app as well. the response is same.
SW9 set to VDD
SW6 set to default
SW10 OFF.

Same configuration on both the DKs.

First of all, nRFgo Studio is rather dated at the time, I suggest you switch to the programmer on the nRFConnect app for desktop instead, just to see if that makes any difference. I agree this sounds strange though. Can you confirm all the switches on the faulty one is set in the same position as in the working one (This includes SW9, SW10 and SW6).

When i connect the faulty DK to the custom board and hook up the DK to my computer, I do not see the target device on nRFgo studio. when I try to program an application/softdevice it gets programmed on the DK instead of the custom board.

The faulty one has the following version numbers

1.0.0

2018.33

683578621

the one which is working well has the following version numbers

1.0.0

2018.49

683886294

Andreas is travelling, so I will be taking your case. If you can't provide a picture, I'll take your word for it as far as hardware connections go. Are there no differences in the two DKs other than one not being able to flash the target device? Are you able to flash any other chips if you have any available? Are the debugger versions the same as well?

What exactly happens when you try flashing the target device? Do you get any error codes?

I will have to avail permission to take photograph. Is it really necessary though? I have been working with Nordic DKs and custom boards for about 6 months now and I can assure you that there aren't any hardware connection mistakes.

Yes i am unable to flash the custom board with the DK.

I have two DKs and one of them is able to flash the custom board while the other isn't.
