I use an nRF52840 that I program with Segger Embedded Studio. I am using J-Link driver version 6.44f.
When I want to connect to J-Link I get the following message: " A new firmware verison is available for the connected emulator.

1. Which revision of the DK do you have?

2. Could you try to use J-link v6.40?

3. Can you please try method 2, 3, and 4 here: My nRF52/nRF51 DK kit doesn't work.

Please let me know these can help you or not. Thanks.

I realized that. That's actually what I wrote here:

I tried to put the new firmware version (available here: https://www.nordicsemi.com/Software-and-Tools/Development-Kits/nRF52-DK/Download#infotabs) by starting in bootloader mode, but I couldn't see my nRF52 at all after that (even via the USB port). I then put back an old version and this time I went back to the previous point with the same problems (can't update the firmware).

So I managed to copy the.bin file into the BOOTLOADER, but after that I couldn't see my nRF52 in normal mode at all (I couldn't see the COM port anymore)... So I put the old version back in the BOOTLOADER and I was at the same point as before.

RE: I can't update the J-Link OB firmware (nRF52840-DK)

Hi,

Sorry for the delay because most of my colleagues are just back from the Easter holidays as me.

I think you might have put your nRF52840 DK in Bootloader mode, can you check if the board shows up as "BOOTLOADER", and if it does, copy this file(J-Link OB-SAM3U128-V2-NordicSemi 170724.bin )to the "BOOTLOADER"folder, turn the power of the board off and on, and it should work.

Best regards,
