I try it with _debug bootloader,but the same problem is occured, It's the log file:

but I try it with normal bootloader,when I run the dfu with rtt, The dfu can be finished. but if I use dfu and normal bootloader without using rtt to test, the same problem happened(always 100%).What's wrong in it?

Hi Zhong,

Please try with the _debug bootloader. This version has logging over RTT enabled which may help us pinpoint the problem. The package should be valid since it's accepted in the pre-validate step so it may be the post-validate steps that fail.

Hi Vidar,

I reboot it, and the same situation occured,and then I run the bootloader in ses,it's named DfuTarg and I use the dfu service,It also happened the same situation(when comes to 100% ,It will always in 100% and after several seconds,It will go back to orignal state(DfuTarg)).maybe my update-zip.file is incorrecct.It's my process:

1.get the output file.hex in example hrs.and named "app_new.hex"

2.use command:

nrfutil pkg generate --application app_new.hex --application-version 1 --application-version-string "1.0.0" --hw-version 52 --sd-req 0xB6 --sd-id 0xB6 --softdevice s140_nrf52_6.1.1_softdevice.hex --key-file priv.pem FW.zip

and I download the zipfile and use it.

coula you please help me find the error?looking forward to your reply.

To confirm it's not attribute caching, please reboot your phone, then re-connect to the peripheral through nRF connect and see if you still see the UART and DFU service.

I just open the hrs example and click "build and run",and then I use the output file(hex) in the project,like the image:

after I use the command

finally I use the ZIP file to update.but the result is shown like my last reply,When start to update，led1 and led3 will be on, and when updated to 100%, led1 and led2 lights will be on, then after 5 seconds, only led1 starts to flash, the service becomes the initial service (UART service and dfu service),and on my phone,there is always like this:

Hi Zhong,

Did you use the ble_app_blinky project, or was it the blinky example? Note that the pre-compiled hex files provided with these examples will not work as they are merged with the Softdevice.

Hi Vidar,

I delete the app"nrf connect" and I redownload it,and then I find the dfu service,but I fail in last step.I want to use dfu service to update.The progress bar is becoming 100% and nothing happened,like the picture.The update file I use is blinky_example.I think if I can start OTA service.maybe it's not the problem about the update file,so what should I do?like the image, it can't be finished,and then it will return to the original service(UART service with dfu service) automatically,Thanks for your patient.

Hi Zhong,

The problem is that iPhone cache the attribute table across connections when the "service changed" characteristic is not present (i.e., skip service discovery on new connections). You can clear the cache manually by rebooting the phone or enable, then disable flight mode.

I will modify my code in main.c,but there are so many things in config.h,could you please tell me where I should modifiy in sdk_config.h?and then I used the final.hex you sent to me and use the commend below:

nrfjprog --eraseall -f NRF52

nrfjprog --program final.hex --chiperase -r

and then I can only find the UART service on my phone,I use two application(nRF connect,Lightblue),There are the images.

1.App "nRF connect"

2. APP "Lightblue"

Is it the same result in your phone?and how can I find or use the dfu_buttonless service?Looking forward to your reply.

I tried to reproduce this by adding the DFU service to the ble_app_uart example in SDK 15.3.0, but it worked here. Please try to program the merged hex attached below and see if you get the same result.
