You need to change a line in your sdk_config.h from

#define NRF_FPRINTF_FLAG_AUTOMATIC_CR_ON_LF_ENABLED 1

to

#define NRF_FPRINTF_FLAG_AUTOMATIC_CR_ON_LF_ENABLED 0

ran SAADC with SDK 15.3 on 52840DK with same behavior, cursor moved down but no content. I could see the NRF_LOG_INFO using a Putty terminal connected to JLink Uart Port.

On my side "MAC" 4.16 i can also power on/off a lot of times. The result is the same.
is funny, the cursor in the log is moving down. But the content of the LOGS is also empty with Copy/Paste.

Thanks for the reply. I tried power cycling the board multiple times without a change in behavior. Interestingly, it worked very easily with 15.2. I have two different pieces of HW: the NRF52 dev kit and a custom NRF52810 board. Both sets of HW show the same behavior (no RTT backend logging with 15.3 and successful backend logging with 15.2).

Hi,

I haven't had this issue with SDK 15.3.0. However, if you reencounter this issue, please try to power-cycle the board to reset RAM and see if that makes any difference.

I rolled back to SDK 15.2 and RTT logging works as expected. I'm moving forward with this version of the SDK so I can continue to familiarize myself with it. Perhaps I'll come back to 15.3 at a later date with more knowledge under my belt...

I would be very curious to hear if others are experiencing RTT issues with SDK 15.3.

I had the same issue. With the former version 4.12 on my Mac it works.....
