&lt;p&gt;You can use &lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;any&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/em&gt;debugger&amp;nbsp;which supports Cortex-M4 and SWD.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Segger Embedded Studio (SES) only supports JLink, but other IDEs may support other debug probes; eg, Keil uVision can use the Keil uLink.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;RTT is a segger-specific thing.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So what detail do you feel is missing?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The debug connection is the same as for any other ARM Cortex-M4 - there&amp;#39;s nothing special here.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;With UART, confgure pins as Rx and Tx and send data over it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Connect SWDIO and SWDCLK pins and with JLNK RTT Viewer view logs.&lt;/p&gt;
