i still couldnt find out if it is possible or recommended to use the PPI together with the s110. i checked the example in the sdk documentation but it was completely without the use of the softdevice.

thanks a lot for your answer!

But there are no sd_xx_yy() commands for PPi and i have to use it with register settings next to the softdevice?

If you want to use PWM with S110 Enabled, then take a look one nrf PWM library + S110 enabled, else you have to use those timers which are free and those PPI channels which are not restricted while S110 is enabled. These details you can get from S110 Spec sheet and from NRF51 datasheet. PPI can be used with S110 enabled. S110 occupies some resources when it is enabled, thus you have to be aware what PPI channels are free for application purpose.

It is very well possible to use PPI together with S110. The SDK does not have an example which uses both PPI and S110 (The SDK versions until 6.1.0 used to have a heart rate example for evaluation board that used PPI to blink an LED. ). There are some restrictions when you use PPI when having the SoftDevice enabled. They are documented in section 10.4 (titled Programmable Peripheral Interconnect (PPI)) in the S110 SoftDevice Specification..

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Balaji
