I think the best thing you can do is <a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/44455/finite-state-machine-question">follow what this user did</a>. The app_onoff.c &amp; .h files should be found as part of the generic light switch example in examples\common\src &amp; examples\common\include.&nbsp;To make your own app_ponoff &amp; app_dtt files, do something similar to how the app_onoff source &amp; header files are used as the interface layer between main.c &amp; the generic on off model.
