Hi, the connectivity firmware is no longer available under the link you provided. Is it really neccessary to build them oneself?

Also, do I need to build the pc-ble-driver myself, when using the python wrapper?

There is documentation for (some of) the apps that nRF Connect for Desktop provides. And these user guides can be found by clicking the "Get Documentation" button.

So why is there a button saying 'Get Documentation' which leads you to a page saying "See nRF Connect for Desktop for more information" which just takes you back to where you started!

If there is no separate documentation, then please just make that clear on the web pages!

There is no further documentation for nRF Connect for Desktop since the GUI and options are self-explanatory.

Are you looking for the documentation for the nRF Connect Bluetooth Low Energy app? This is available here: infocenter.nordicsemi.com/.../nRF_Connect_intro.html

It would be helpful if that were made clear - then I wouldn't have wasted time trying to find it!

Hi,

The connectivity firmware used by nRF Connect for Desktop is based on the SDK BLE connectivity example (<SDK>\examples\connectivity\ble_connectivity), but includes patches from the pc-ble-driver repo. You can find the details on how to patch and build the connectivity firmware here, and obtain precompiled hex files here. There is no need to program the connectivity firmware manually when using nRF Connect for Desktop though, as it will program it for you. I assume that is why there is no separate download for it under nRF Connect for Desktop.
