I recently bought a nRF51 Dongle (PCA10031) and a nRF52840-DK (PCA10056) and I am now trying to use it for BLE sniffing with Wireshark. I am running OS X 10.14.4.
I use python 2.7.16 and i manage to flash firmware and run the ./nrf_sniffer.py

RE: nRF Sniffer v2 not working with Wireshark in Mac

Are these flaws being addressed? Downgrading to 2.4.14 avoids this crash. However, it would be good to clearly write the Wireshark version requirement and that you have to run it as sudo! Were you aware of this?
I finally managed to get the nRF Sniffer to show in Wireshark, but apparently you have to run it with sudo. However, the Wireshark application crashes as soon as I start capturing. The following is the output:

$ sudo /Applications/Wireshark.app/Contents/MacOS/Wireshark
