To see advertisements in nRFConnect, you have to actually advertise, like awneil is saying. And as I have stated in my previous replies, I still think the issue is with your antenna matching circuit. I would be more than happy to take a look at your layout (gerber files) to confirm this, and can set this case to private for you to keep anyone from seeing them. You could also create a new private case and upload your files there if you feel more comfortable doing that.

There is nothing pointing towards there being an issue with any of the chips you are using.

After advertising_init(), I think you have to do advertising_start() to actually start the advertising?

Do you have RF test gear to verify whether it is transmitting anything at all?

We replaced nrf52832-QFAAE1 in the place of nrf52832-QFAAB0 in the nrf52 development board. we observed the basic code which controls the GPIO pins working fine, as well as we observed error code 0 in the ble_stack _init() function and advertising_init() function which means BLE initialized and advertised fine but we didn't get the device nrf connect app so can you please provide some information about type of issue and the resolution

Please see this whitepaper on antenna tuning. Specifically chapter 4.2 on Pi-networks. You can use the nRF52832 reference layout as reference.

thanks for the quick response

we made the matching circuit capacitors grounded by external wire. did the impedance match circuit require two inductors and three capacitors?

can you please provide a reference circuit for impedance matching antenna?

There shouldn't be anything but fixes in the newer revision chips. I assume there is something wrong with the antenna network in your custom design. It seems like the matching circuit capacitors aren't grounded, and if they aren't, they have to be, and you have to impedance match the circuit again. Could you share the gerber files so I can have a look? I can set this case to private if you don't want to make these files public.

Previously we use nRF52832QFAAB0 development board, but in our PCB we mounted nRF52832QFAAE1. Is there any major change for both of these? We observed that B0 is 1st revision and E1 is the 2nd revision chips.Is anything we need to change to get our circuit working correctly?

please find the above link for the datasheet of the 32MHz crystal we used in our circuit, as well as we are using copper wire as an antenna with the matching circuit provided in the above circuit.

1. If the memory allocation is wrong, you will get an error from the SoftDevice, telling you what to set the RAM and Flash sizes to.

2. As Andrew says, our examples defaults to using external crystals, and there should not be any problems running BLE applications on external crystals, as long as they are mounted correctly.

I am guessing the issue here is that either one of your crystals are not mounted/connected properly. Or that the antenna is not working as intended. Could you please provide the data sheets to the crystals and antenna you are using, as well as be specific on how you have tuned and set up the matching circuit.

The Nordic examples default to using an external crystal - so, if you want to use the internal RC, you will have to adjust the configuration accordingly:
