I recently ordered a usb dongle. It has PCA10031 board. The chip shows "N51422 QF ACAB" printed on it.

What SDK should I use? 6.1.0?
What board file should I use to compile 51822 FW on this dongle? I do not see any pca10031.h file.

Thanks.

FYI, there is no HW difference between 422 and 822. There's a difference in the chip settings that allows the ANT softdevices to be programmed into the 422. But as RK states, the 422 can handle all softdevices which makes it the super set chip.

RE: board file for the latest nrf51 dongle

RK,
Thank you so much for the info. I guess I missed the latest announcements and was thinking that sdk 6.1.0 was the latest one.
regards,

SDK 7.x

There isn't one in the 6.x SDK, use 7.x, or roll your own board definition file if you want to keep using 6.x.

Yes nrf51422 runs nrf51822 software, not the other way around, the nrf51422 does all the nrf51822 does plus it can run ANT (I never did figure out what the hardware difference was which is required for ANT).

I believe this is all explained on the site somewhere under the product announcement for the new chips or the 7.x SDK, don't remember, I read it somewhere.
