The Bluetooth specification use different terms for different layers, but it does not have any practical consequence. Sometimes you will se broadcaster used to indicate non-connectable advertiser, but that does not really meet with the specification.&nbsp; It is best to just think of them as synonyms. If so, it depends on the meaning of the person who wrote/said it.
