 AIN0 uses VDD/4 as reference; 
 AIN1 uses VDD/4 as reference; 
 AIN2 uses the internal reference;

&lt;p&gt;Not that I&amp;#39;m aware of. The &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ps_nrf52840/saadc.html?cp=3_0_0_5_22_1#unique_1891067092"&gt;documentation for SAADC in nRF52840&lt;/a&gt; (which is nearly identical to that in nRF52832) say that &amp;quot;&lt;span&gt;Each SAADC channel can have individual reference and gain settings&amp;quot;, without listing any limitations.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
