Would it be possible to create a partial code that can be placed on external memory, and loaded into ram for execution when needed?
As I believe it is possible, the real question is: Could that code execute function already present in the flash

RE: Creating partial code for external execution
How can I achieve this?
I don't know - I've never tried it myself.

But it should be the same as for any Cortex-M4 ...
256kB seems not that limited
You didn't say which chip you had in mind - but It's still only a quarter of the Flash size

RE: Creating partial code for external execution

Thanks you for your answer

How can I achieve this? Do I have to declare my functions in the main program a certain way?

Does what I want to do have a name? I don't know how to ask a search engine about that

On the nrf52840, 256kB seems not that limited. Anyway, executing external code from ram/flash is not my main concern, the real question is how to create that code

RE: Creating partial code for external execution

Yes, it should be possible.

But remember that the amount of RAM is really quite limited...
