I would recommend you to use the SES startup files, choose one of the SES projects from SDK 15.3.0 to see which. The GCC variant is not compatible with thumb_crt0.s.

Startup files:

/modules/nrfx/mdk/ses_startup_nrf_common.s" />

I checked the content of "arm_startup_nrf52.s" resides in SDK 15.3.0, discovered it hasn't changed a lot compare to my project's.

In addition, I plan on using the GCC compiler in SES, which I then found a "gcc_startup_nrf52.s" in SDK 15.3.0.

I presume "arm_startup_nrf52.s" and "gcc_startup_nrf52.s" are semantically equal, so I chose it.

I didn't find the import feature to be useful.

I found it simpler to just create a new project - from scratch - in SES, and then merge my application code into that.
