&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;A central can only connect to another peripheral. However, a device can be simultaneously a central and a peripheral. I suggest that you take a look at our &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.sdk5.v15.3.0/examples_ble_cen_per.html?cp=5_1_4_2_1"&gt;multiroles examples&lt;/a&gt; from the SDK and our &lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/short-range-guides/b/bluetooth-low-energy"&gt;tutorials &lt;/a&gt;on getting started with BLE.&lt;/p&gt;
