I'm assuming you meant that when you type AT it's timing out and not responding. It won't respond with the asset tracker software installed. You will want to install the AT client software to test this.

Or, as 2 other people posted here, with the link monitor connected, hit the reset button and copy and paste what you see on the screen and post it here. So we can see the logs. Sometimes you need to hit the reset button on the DK just to be able to send AT commands anyway.

Program the AT Client to your DK and run the command I posted and it will tell you what radio firmware you have. That would tell show you. If it's old you need to update to the latest.

Or you can do what Martin Lesund posted and just update your radio firmware to the latest and not worry about what version is has. I believe you will have to do that anyway. But I always want to know what's on there and what version I went from and to. You could just overwrite whatever is there with the latest following Martin's directions and try whatever you were trying.

and when you are connected to LTE Link Monitor, press the reset button on the nRF91DK to see the bootup sequence in the terminal.

If you have zero led's blinking then don't worry about the web gui. Focus on the software/firmware on the DK first. That's got to be setup and blinking along with the asset tracker documentation. Both LED3 and 4 blinking before you get to the above.

What version of the radio firmware is on the nrf91 on your dev board? I just got a brand new DK, 0.8.5 hot off the presses and the firmware is:

mfw-m1_nrf9160_0.6.6-46.prealpha

So that's even older than you can download on the site. What version do you have now?

Hi NYP,

If you haven't please update the modem firmware to the newest: https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Low-power-cellular-IoT/nRF9160/Download#infotabs

Then use tag v0.4.0 in NCS and Flash the Asset_Tracker:

cd ncs/nrf
git checkout master
git pull
git checkout v0.4.0
west update

Then build and flash the asset_tracker.

I would be very helpful if you share the serial output from the nrf91DK while you are trying to connect to the nrfcloud.

Yes exactly

So I do new LTE device

Then I click "Have an old devkit without PIN"

And i have to wait

But zero leds are blinking..

I have two DK and I am using the same SIM card. It was working with the first one, so I want to do the same thing with the second DK, so I removed a device in nrf connect and then wanted to add my second DK (with the same sim) as a new device.

But we noticed that we are having problem, cause the first DK seems to get broken (cannot connect it again via nrf connect with the same sim card), and the second DK is the same : cannot connect at all...

Perhaps because I downloaded the asset tracker in the DK and I have to remove it to be able to connect to nrf?

I really don't know what to do, it is very obscure

Are you trying to connect a new nRF9160DK onto nrfcloud?

I guess I was confused with this. Another LTE device. First card and other one.

But you have one DK and 1 sim card and you didn't replace it?

The asset tracker software should power up, blink green LED while it's connecting and then either both 3 and 4 blink where you are trying to add it to an account or 4 on solid when it is paired.

If yours is just turning on and 3 doesn't blink at all and it goes to 4 on solid, I would assume that the device can't connect to the tower that fast. And the software is not running right. I would go back and download the latest firmware for the radio and re-compile the asset tracker software and flash it and try again. Sounds to me that the software flashed on there is not correct.

I have one DK and I didn't replace the SIM card.

This morning, even the 3rd led, which blinks at the beginning when a sim card is inserted, does not blink.

Neither the 4th led.

But it seems LED 4 on without blinking means that it's connected.

It sounds like you have one DK, and you replaced the SIM card? And when you replaced the sim card it just connects? Maybe a bit more detail about what parts you have and what you did. Maybe someone else reading this has a better grasp on what you are doing.
