I got it to build. i restarted and followed the tutorial again and when i was done i followed this post

Hi,

I suggest that you open the project file in a text editor and compare it against my project. E.g, make sure the "linker_section_placement_file" is pointing to the correct xml file.

You also need to define the section placement macros. Important settings highlighted:

same errors. I Think i know whats wrong. I missed

"After that you can import it by right click on the project name and choose "Import Section placement"

i dont understand how to import the xml file.

Hello William,

The error indicates the flash placement file is not configured correctly (missing the fs data section). Please compare your configuration with the project that I've uploaded here: https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/48392/custom-nrf51422-handle-in-ble_stack_init-sdk12-3-0/192338#192338
