 Currently we are working on a project based on nrf51822. Now we are planning to upgrade to nrf52832. so I can run the same ble4.2 based code on ble5 chip (nrf52832)

&lt;p&gt;This is because they&amp;#39;re different chips - not particularly to do with BT version.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The same would apply with taking code for &lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;any&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/em&gt;chip and adapting it to run on a different chip.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You will need to &lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porting" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"&gt;port&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt; your code from the nRF51 to the nRF52.&lt;/p&gt;
