This was somehow solved by restarting my laptop.. Lesson learned :)

I have an update! I found the guide over at https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.nordic.infocenter.sr3nrf52.firmware%2Flogger.html on how to run RTT on Linux.

I can connect to the device through

" JLinkExe -autoconnect 1 -device NRF52832_XXAA -if SWD -speed 4000 "

However, when I start the JLinkRTTClient, I'm just stuck on

" ###RTT Client: Connecting to J-Link RTT Server via localhost:19021 "

I have tried to reset and go by typing r and g into the jlink commander, but it doesn't change anything.

No other JLink components are running.

Actually I recently made another ticket, and I was recommended by a Nordic engineer to downgrade to v6.22g, because otherwise my nrf connect wouldn't support the device.

Are there any other JLINK components running (e.g. GDB Server, nrf go studio)?

Otherwise try updating to something newer - I run JLink V6.44h here.
