There are various questions/answers in the forum that address this issue, for example <a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/question/3480/debugging-in-nrf51422/">here.</a> It sounds like your IAR debug setup is working correctly if you can load, break at main() and single-step through code prior to softdevice startup.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
