RKNRFGO is a utility for OSX to Flash the softdevice and DFU. It's an alternative solution to nRFGo for OS X users. sourceforge.net/.../

Other alternative low cost Jtag probe is the IDAP-Link which I am developing . It's CMSIS-DAP based. Supports drag & drop and mBed(ing) your board. The hardware is working. I'm working the software now. Currently able to debug nRF51 with it on OS X using OpenOCD and Eclipse. Drag & Drop feature not yet implemented.

Probably it's newer so need latest driver. I have the old EK with what used call link-lite. It works well on OS X. The OB must be newer version then. Have you tried the latest driver ? 4.95xx I think is the latest. I am still running on 4.94

J-Link OB is the IC which functions as a Debugger on the nRF-Boards: www.segger.com/jlink-ob.html

What is the Jlink-OB ? btw. KNRFGO does work with JLINK on OS X so we don't need to switch to Windows to use nRFGo

I can connect my SEGGER J-Link EDU without a problem. It gets detected immediately! But the J-Link OB on the nRF51x22 Boards does not :(

I have Yosemite (current) with Parallels (current) working fine with EK, with Jlink -Ultra, with IDAP-Link (CMSIS-DAP with OpenOCD 0.9). Development using Eclipse on OS X. Switch back & forth between OS X and Windows 8 or XP to use nRFGo, no Problem. A few rare time the JlInk-Ultra blink continuously. All I needed to do then was to disconnect (power off) and reconnect. Everything was fine again. The blinking happened only when I boot with the Jlink connected to USB port but only happened a few times.

Thanks for your answer but this is not problem with VirtualBox. On my Mac I have Parallels running (also with Win7) and it also doesn't work anymore and this definitely worked before. I programmed this way all the last months.

I did not update Parallels, I did not update the segger drivers. The only thing I updated was Yosemite 10.10.0 to 10.10.1 and now the evaluation kits won't get recognized anymore. And if they don't get recognized in the Mac OS X they won't be available in the virtual machine.

UPDATE: I solved it! It was the USB-cable. Once I changed that everything works! Thanks for everyone involved!
