Yes, that would be our intention, but we still have some issues that we are working on fixing.

For our application it would make sense to at least shutdown GPS when not needed but we are looking to see the future implimentation of PSM GPS tracking which I assume would shutdown the LTE radio and only operate the GPS in a power limited manner. Switching sockets would make sense for us in that case as only one link would ever be needed at anytime and giving us enhanced battery life.

Does this sound possible with what you know about the PSM version of GPS?

That is what they're working towards, yes.

However, when concurrent GPS + LTE or NBIoT modem is available, I suspect that most devs would not switch between sockets anymore.

Hi MJD093,

I can confirm that the current modem fw 0.7.0-29 has issues when going back-and-forth between XSYSTEMMODEs.

We have reported this internally to our designers and developers, and they are working on fixing this issue.
