There is nRF52840 and nRF9160 on nRF9160 DK.
here are codes on this two chips:
nRF52840: 1:SoftDevice. 2: BLE APP
nRF9160: 1: Modem & GPS firmware. 2: Bootloader(secure or none secure). 3: APP(codes like Asset Tracker Demo)

Has there been an update to the FOTA support of updating nRF52840 over LTE on the nRF9160-DK?

Would this be possible if one connect some of the GPIOs on the nRF9160 to the SWD-pins of nRF52840 on my own hardware? I guess I would need some switch like FSA2466UMX to have both these wires and a debug-connector.

Thanks!

RE: nRF52840 & nRF9160 OTA method through LTE

Hi,

Application code DFU over LTE is supported, take a look at this sample. Modem DFU will be released later.

If you are planning on updating this over LTE, then the nRF9160 need to implement some sort of DFU controller. To my knowledge that is not supported yet.
