Excellent!

Thank you Martin. I was able to build the Asset Tracker Project successfully.

I am however having trouble flashing it to the nRF9160 device through the SES program.

I can't select the build and debug option, despite having the board connected and powered on.

Also when I try to connect J-Link it gives me the error

I do have the latest version of JLink

So I'm a bit lost.

It did seem to build the merged hex file, so I'll try and flash that over using the nRF Connect programmer or I could just drag and drop the hex file over, but I was wondering if you think I'm doing something wrong as to why I can't program from SES.

Please confirm that you are using the v1.0.0 tag:

cd ncs/nrf
git checkout master
git pull
git checkout v1.0.0
west update

Hi Martin,

So I went back and set my computer back to a clean slate. I followed the setup steps on the nRF Connect SDK setup

I proceeded to specify the build options as instructed on the nRF guide and the tutorial above

I tried both with the clean build directory checked and unchecked, both times after hitting OK

I get this JS alert and the following error

Please let me know if I have done something wrong in following either tutorial.

Please select board: nrf9160_pca10090ns

The application needs to build non-secure as described in the tutorial.

Hi Mattin,

So I downloaded the latest version, as per the link in the getting started app. I opened embedded studio and was able to get the asset tracker project to open, I encountered an error in line 341 of one of the .h files. I stupidly didn't take a screenshot of it, however when I went to reopen embedded studio after closing it I keep getting THIS error

This error seems familiar to me, and I am now, again, lost as how to proceed on building the sample applications that come for this dev board I got.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Please make sure you are using the latest version. (v4.18)
