What project were you using?

I guess that the Projects in the SDK always have the j-Link connection specified?

it seems there is an option under project option > debug. for target selection. That needs to be switch to Jlink. It starts defaulted to Simulator. This could be something put into a startup manual that would be very useful. Feel free to share.

The COM port is not what SES (or anything else) needs for debug.

My SES doesn't have any "simulator" option - maybe you've installed a "simulator only" version?

Segger are the ones to help you with that ...

Again, that's a Segger issue - nothing specifically to do with Nordic.

My SES shows the J-Link option even with no J-Links connected - so it looks like you have omitted to install the J-Link software.

Do you have any J-link stuff in your Start menu?

Hi, I dot have that option available. Just target > Connect simulator

Indeed.

If SES does not show the J-Link, then the problem is between SES and the J-Link - the nRF is irrelevant at that point.

This sounds like an issue with Segger. Have you had a look at Segger Wiki? What are you getting with J-Link Commander? In SES, what happens when you go to Target -> Connect J-Link?
