It sounds like the issue can be that the iBasis SIM is not supported in your area.

However, it is good to hear that you are up and running with a local SIM card.

thank you for the quick response.
There are should be both LTE-M and NB-IoT available here.
But the device can't connect to any of them, even if I change the network mode.

However, when I changed the network mode to NB-IoT while using our local SIM card, there were no cyclic restarts anymore. Since I need to execute LTE-M test cases, I changed the network mode back to LTE-M and there were no cyclic restarts as well. I cannot really understand the logic of this workaround, but it worked.

Hi Olga,
Have you confirmed that you have LTE-M coverage or NB-IoT?

If you are trying to connect to the latter network you need to specify that in the application.

I am very sure this will fix the issue.

The easiest way to test if you can connect with the network is to use the at_client sample with LTE Link Monitor.

Then before you turn on the modem (AT+CFUN=1) you can change the network mode to NB-IoT by the command AT%XSYSTEMMODE=0,1,0,0

Hi Martin,

I didn't delete certificates on purpose.
I've used the "Erase all" action in SES to delete flashed sample from nRF9160, so I am not sure if I have deleted some certificates by that.
I have to mention that I was never able to connect to the nRF Cloud.
When I used iBasis eSIM LED4 didn't start blinking.
I checked the coverage on GSMA web page, this shoudn't be a problem in Germany.
I also asked for support iBasis team, but there is no feedback so far.
I haven't tried to run "mqtt_simple" sample so far, but I will try.

Is there any way to install missed certificates?

Hi Olga,

Have you written or deleted certificates to the board?

It looks like this can be related to that the "nrf Cloud certificate" that is stored in the modem flash either has been overwritten or deleted.

Are you able to run and test the "mqtt_simple" sample?
