I ran a number of examples without issue and just recently received power profiler kits so I could monitor power usage. I followed the setup and cut SB40 on the board and attached

RE: Can't run BLE examples with PPK attached

Hi, please have a look here: https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ug_ppk/UG/ppk/PPK_user_guide_PPK_on_nRF5xDK_with_debug.html?cp=6_6_5_3

So when you flash your application while the PPK is plugged in (and the COM switch is in the DK pos) you are actually flashing the PPK, not the DK.

If you want to flash your application while the PPK is plugged in you can try to set the COM switch to the EXT position, and then back again when you want to use the PPK software.

If you want to debug and measure current at the same time you will need two debuggers. But there's not really any point in doing this as the debug IF on the chip will turn on all regulators and clocks and you will have a base current of about 4mA.
