I now understand why the timeout error I was receiving was due to an invalid parameter. I appreciate you explaining it to me. Prior to now, I was unaware of the cause, but I now understand it.

When you combine 2 (or more) examples, you need to combine the sdk_config.h settings.

Sadly, there is no tool to do this, and Nordic make it unnecessarily difficult by not keeping the example sdk_config.h files consistent.

So it's a matter of manually, laboriously, tediously, going through the two sdk_config.h files.

I recommend Keil uVision for viewing/editing the sdk_config.h files - the free version will do.
