We are stuck in our development because the doc is too poor and question below has been unanswered for 3 years.

I need to get name of device from serial.

You might be right here, I think I may have misread the doc. myself. I'll send a request to our developers, so that they can comment on this.

Hi Joakim, thanks for the reply.

Could you clarify where exactly the name is shown in the provisioning data? I have dived very deep into the Interactive Pyaci and Serial command/event docs and can't seem to find anything on device names except that assigned by the provisioner to the device, but this seems to be a local name only.

I think you should be able to collect the name.

Have you seen this page on the infocenter:
Interactive PyACI Script

There you can see that the name is shown in the provisioning data sent from the Light Switch server.
