Hi Catilin, I was wondering if you ever found the source of the framing error on UARTE0. I am seeing similar behavior in my test setup

Did you ever solve this problem, I am seeing the same behaviour.

If I use UART0 I do not have the problem, it only seems to occur with UARTE0/1. But I need UARTE for two channels.

Have you tried to increase the timeout to a value higher than 200? I set it to 1200 and was not able to reproduce the error.

It is not seen in the picture but it gets to 3.3V. The tests are done on the Nordic development kit board directly.

Yes, it gets stuck with frame error and it can only be reused after the reinitialization of the serial driver.

It could just be an artifact of your scope (is it a USB "virtual" scope?), but those edges look really slow for a UART connection!

Also, you're only reaching 2.5V. What supply voltage are you using?

The support team is reduced during the summer holidays, and you may experience delayed answers. My apologies for that.

I took a quick look at your code, and tried to run it with the nRF2840 connected to the computer. I started to spam strings (20 characters with CR LF) from the pc to the nRF5280, and experienced odd behavior after a set of messages was sent. The LED stopped blinking, and the recieved data got stuck at a single character.

My suspicion is that the timeout is too small, and there is not enough time to handle the incoming data, but I am not sure. I will look more deeply into your problem this week. Please tell me if you find a solution.

Yes, We have check the baudrates, nothing odd. We have tested the modem - nrf52840, modem - computer, computer - nrf52840. The tests where nrf was involved, failed.

Here is an oscilloscope capture of 4 bytes of 0x55, sends from computer.

Have you checked how accurate all the baud rates are?

Have you used an oscilloscope to look at the lines to see if there's anything "odd" ?

That could be because there really is a framing error!
