&lt;p&gt;It relies upon standard features of the ARM Cortex-M architecture but, AFAIK, Segger is the &lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;only&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/em&gt;one to have an implementation that uses it:&lt;/p&gt;
