&lt;p&gt;What nRF52 board are you using?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Have you checked that there are no restrictions on using pins 25 &amp;amp; 26; eg, is anything else already connected to them?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Are you sure that you got Tx &amp;amp; Rx the correct way around?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Have you used an oscilloscope to see what&amp;#39;s happening on the wires?&lt;/p&gt;
