There is no existing entry for CONFIG_NRF_PORT in the ncs \ nrf \ applications \ asset tracker \ prj.conf file. When I add CONFIG_NRF_PORT=25245 to the file I get a build error. Any other suggestions for what I thought should have been the easiest problem?

Not sure why the value in isn't updated in the autoconf.h. Perhaps you can try setting CONFIG_NRF_PORT=25245 in prj.conf. That's how it's supposed to be done anyway.

Yes, the Kconfig file was saved and as I said "I checked and the Kconfig file still has my changes in it...". I'm building using the standard Seggar Build button. I just checked nrf \ subsys \ net \ lib \ nrf_cloud and the Kconfig file still has my changes. Are we talking the same file?

I tried it just now and was able to change the port number from 8883 to 8884. I built using the command line though. Did you remember to save the Kconfig file after modifiying it?

I changed the Kconfig file as you suggested, closed and reopened the solution, and rebuilt. None of the changes were made to the autoconf.h file. The Tag remains 16842753, Port 8883, and Hostname

a2n7tk1kp18wix-ats.iot.us-east-1.amazonaws.com. I flashed the DK, reset, and data makes it the your nrf Cloud site just fine. I checked and the Kconfig file still has my changes in it but does not change the autoconfig.h file.

You need to make the changes to nrf\subsys\net\lib\nrf_cloud\Kconfig or the .conf file in your project, and not autoconf.h, since it is automatically generated after each build. The username and passwords are modified correctly as far as I know.

ANY post is helpful when chasing down tech data for a new device. Nordic has assigned an engineer to our problem so hopefully the community will get an answer soon. I'm also looking into Hellsvik's suggestion. This issue has to be solved otherwise Nordic is going to be flooded with questions about the same problem I would expect.

sorry, just kind of skimmed through your post and it sounded a lot like one of mine from some time ago, I'm very much stuck where you are now, scrolling through the sdk and chasing down header files and function to try to re-route the telemetry data to a different cloud server. My previous post is unlikely to be helpful
