Thanks for the sample. It does, indeed work and solve the problem. Without the DK, it's hard to tell where things fell apart in my code, but the source looks identical.

I do see that the RAM_START and RAM_SIZE linker defines are different. Although changing them didn't seem to affect the outcome.

More digging, but I'm good for now.

Good idea, the DK has a on-board debugger so that makes development a lot easier.

Thanks for the reply. I think my biggest problem has been trying to use the USB dongles for development. I've ordered a DK board, at which I can tell you what the return value is.

After I posted the message, I did find the usbd_ble_uart example and have that working well on the peripheral side of the BLE. But I did fail in trying to convert the peripheral into a central version. The code scans well, but the usbd never initializes. Once I get the DK I should be able to sort that out.

If there is a central version of the usbd_ble_uart, I'd love to see it.

Does the function return any error codes?

Note that if you are working on a SoftDevice+USBD project, I recommend taking a look at the usbd_ble_uart instead. If you need the blinky BLE service, then add that to the usbd_ble_uart example. Take a look at this page.

You can find the usbd_ble_uart example in the folder <SDKInstallFolder>\examples\peripheral\usbd_ble_uart
