i fixed the issue, although the config file was questionable , it turns out basing the project on the template project in examples/peripheral spares me a lot of trouble. The main issue was not including the .c files in the left project directory overview bar. Issue now is having the project folder in the SDK, unless i want to do the tedious task of updating 150 file paths...

Also i better download the other IDE version.. this version was however the one given in the Connector software

You have this version of Segger Embedded Studio:

Note that it says (Nordic Edition), this version is ment to be used with nRF Connect SDK and the nRF91 only.

The Segger Embedded Studio version used for SDK 15.3 is this one:

Can you please download it here and try again.

Im not sure what you mean with "Segger Embedded Studio for the nRF91" . i Made sure to choose nRF52840 as target processor when creating the project.

I downloaded and installed following this link. I've had succes writing to the GPIOs (development kit SW and LEDs) without GPIOTE.

Can you provide me with sdk_config.h and a screenshot of your Segger Embedded Studio?

Are you using the same Segger Embedded Studio for the nRF91?
