Ninja switched to build 64-bit binaries, but it is possible to build it yourself in a 32-bit MSVC shell.

The issue with ninja is most likely related to your system being 32bit and not 64bit

OS: Windows 7 32bit

nRF Connect application: v3.2.0

Getting Started Assistant: v1.0.2

I also got the same issue. After installing ninja, Getting Started Assistant is not verifying ninja.

I gone through other steps and tried to Set up a project in SEGGER Embedded Studio. I am getting an error (screenshot attached).

Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

Then it sounds like just a bug in the search path, you should not need to worry.

The "verify" button only checks if the program is in a specific path, if you have tried to build an application you can easily see if ninja works or not.

As below, it was the result to try "choco search ninja" at this desktop.

It seems ok. BUT, when we tried to verify ninja at Getting Started assistant. It would fail.

HI Martin

This error happened at my customer's desktop.

1. ninja can be found at C:\ProgramData\chocolatey\bin.

2. When typing "choco install ninja" in command line, it had no error message but also had no installing process.

The cursor went to next command line directly.

As ninja version, how to check the version of ninja by choco? Thanks.

Hi Jeffery,
Please check that you have ninja in the folder: C:\ProgramData\chocolatey\bin

What happens if you type: choco install ninja in the command line?

Could you also check the ninja --version ?

It is possible that you have installed 'ninja' before without the 'choco' package manager so it can't be found in the path, but as long as you can run 'ninja' this should not cause any issues.
