Yes, that's correct. That link will not update your SES Nordic Edition. To update the Nordic Edition, you have to use the link provided in the Getting Started Assistant.

Hi Heidi,

I mean in SES Nordic Edition 4.20a from Getting Started Assistant and click to update to the version 4.22 SES like the image shown below:

after clicking it, it will download a new one but it seems like not the one of Nordic Edition.

You can't update SES Nordic Edition inside SES unfortunately. To update the Nordic edition you have to go through the Getting Started Assistant.

Hi Heidi,

Thanks for replying. I know we should use Nordic Edition of SES, and actually my SES was downloaded in the process of "Getting Started Assistant".

I just want to know why when I gonna update SES (Nordic edition) through the info inside the IDE, and after that it will become another SES edition (not the Nordic edition).

Hi, you need the Nordic Edition of SEGGER Embedded Studio to run nRF Connect SDK project. In the "Getting Started Assistant" in nRF Connect, step three explains how to download this.
