Yes, I see now that perhaps this may be a hardware limitation. (Is it realy?)
Although I find it funny that it supports BT which operates at ~2400 MHz.

But the LTE bands are clear from here:

Which if it is true that the SiP9160 cannot handle LTE above 2200 MHz according to the product sheet:

Then we will not be able to use the following bands:

This is because band 7 isn't supported by the modem yet, and as far as I know it isn't being certified in the near future either. I'm not aware of the concrete reasons why it isn't supported.
