Thie flash_placement.xml file should be located in the same folder as the .emproject file of your project, and it should be sufficient to keep flash_placement.xml in Section Placement File in options.

Have you configured the Flash and RAM addresses correctly according to what SoftDevice version you're using? You can find a guide on how to do that here.

Hello Simonr,

I have gone through that link given by you and as per that i have followed the procedure and the migrated the one of the project.

But still i am facing issue as below

I have wanted to ask about the flash_placement.xml .

I have to locate this file in c drive in segger ide folder or we have locate that in project folder ?
I am not getting the what is the issue.
Please check the attached file and give you inputs.

this is my .xml file..from the project folder

Thanks for your inputs.

As per you suggestion i have made changes.

But after using the sdk 12.3 with s130 i am getting following error

As i have imported example from keil5 folder in segger embedded studio

1> Linking experimental_ble_app_blinky_pca10028_s130.elf
1> C:/Program Files/SEGGER/SEGGER Embedded Studio for ARM 4.22/gcc/arm-none-eabi/bin/ld: cannot find @D:/Rohit/31_07/circular/nRF5_SDK_12.3.0_d7731ad/examples/ble_peripheral/experimental_ble_app_blinky/pca10028/s130/arm5_no_packs/Output/experimental_ble_app_blinky_pca10028_s130 flash_s130_nrf51_2.0.1_softdevice/Obj/experimental_ble_app_blinky_pca10028_s130.ind: No such file or directory

Hi Rohit

Sorry I didn't catch that. It seems you've mixed up the pins and pin names. If you take a look at the pin assignments in the product specification, you can see that pin 19 = P0.13. I see that your button is on P0.19 in the schematics, which means you'll have to configure it as 27 in the pca10028.h file.

Yes , I wanted to do configure button as per schematic i.e. 19 pin.( i have made changes in PCA10028)

But after configuration also it is not working.

what changes i have to do in the PCA10028.h file?

Hi Rohit

I've taken a look at your schematics, and here are some notes:

C3 should be 47nF
R2 is 1kOhm in the reference design, but 12kOhm should be fine as well.

Other than that, everything seems to be correct. Now, to your questions.

Yes, SDK 12.3 and S130 are the most recent SDK and SoftDevice that are compatible with the nRF51 series products.
What are you asking here? Do you want to You can set the buttons to any GPIO by changing #define BUTTON_X to whatever pin number you want. In any case, this is the correct pca10028 file.
